To better serve the needs of local cancer patients The Cancer Support Foundation was formed in 1981 at Los Alamitos Medical Center. The organization was originally created as a Hospice group. In 1988 the purpose of the organization was reassessed and subsequently expanded. At that time the name was changed to The Cancer Support Foundation.

Several of our current volunteers have been with CSF since inception and continue to serve cancer patients today. Many long lasting friendships have been the result of volunteers attending CSF related events such as our monthly Volunteer Education Meetings.

All services are rendered free of charge. The Foundation is funded by contributions and grants. To that end many people have found giving a monetary gift to CSF is a fulfilling way to remember a loved one.

Individual giving is the key and backbone of The Cancer Support Foundation. Please join us in our commitment to serve the cancer population.
