Why?

We all have someone special in our lives that has been touched by cancer. What more wonderful way to remember a friend, relative or loved one who has battled this disease, than to walk in his or her honor? By participating in The Cancer Support Foundation 5K Honor Walk, you can pay tribute to a loved one, living or not, while helping others.

How?

This is how it works. Sign up to race for The Cancer Support Foundation. You will be provided with sponsor sheets for donations to be designated for the programs of The Cancer Support Foundation. You must also submit the race entry fee of $12 made out to the City of Los Alamitos. For those who raise a minimum of $120 in sponsorships, the Foundation will pay for your entry fee.

Or, you may wish to form a team of friends and relatives to walk in honor of a mutual friend or loved one. For any group of 10 racers or more The Foundation will provide a banner with the team name to carry in the race.

How to reach us?

You may obtain race packets at The Cancer Support Foundation office, at 10861 Cherry Street, Suite 202, Los Alamitos, across the street from the Los Alamitos Medical Center. Or, you may request that a packet be mailed to you by calling the office at: (562) 594-9977.

Where do the funds go?

The proceeds of the money raised by this fund raiser are used to provide non-medical support to cancer patients and their families in the form of support groups, educational programs and practical assistance when needed. All services are available free of charge.

The Foundation is proud to note that more than 85 % of money raised goes directly into Patient programs.
